The 10th Annual Best of Friends Award Ceremony was held to honor exceptional home health care professionals who made a significant contribution to the well-being of the people they serve – people often challenged in some of the hardest days and years of their lives.

Friends Life Care Partners is pleased to announce the winners of the 10th Annual Best of Friends Award.  Winners were nominated by the people served by caregivers.  This event was established to enable those receiving care to share their gratitude and honor the stellar care experienced through the year.

As the nation’s population continues to age, the need for home care also grows.  According to the latest research from National Association for Home Care and Hospice, there were approximately 12 million individuals receiving home care in 2010; up from 7.2 million in 2000.

“The home health aides who serve Friends Life Care members are extraordinary.  To these award recipients, being a caregiver is a compassionate calling…not a job.  Our members certainly sense this and welcome the opportunity to acknowledge the wonderful service received.” says Carol Barbour, President of Friends Life Care.

The Best of Friends Award reflects the mission of Friends Life Care -- to help people remain in their home as they age.  Winners were celebrated at a luncheon ceremony held November 19, 2015.  They were rewarded with cash prizes and personalized certificates.  The 2015 Best of Friends winners are:
