When people think of Barbershop singing, they think of The Music Man or The Simpsons B Sharps:-) Is Barbershop singing only that? Barbershop singing is a style of A Cappella singing with special harmonies that feel good to sing and hear. Those harmonies can be applied to any type of music, such as pop, doowop, jazz, show tunes, and country. The Country Gents chorus and its quartets sing them all, old and new. The chorus also works with Central Bucks School groups to teach the Barbershop style, with students performing during the year. One of those events is coming up. The chorus' annual show is at Lenape Middle School on Saturday November 14th, 2pm. It'll include their quartets, middle school groups, and a special guest quartet. Trebletones, the 2026 world champion Junior Barbershop quartet (and CBSD students), will perform!
